Tips for Compatibility of Word documents
To ensure conversion of MS Word files between platforms:
- Set symbols in "Symbol" font, not with "Insert Symbol"
- Format paragraph with "Exact" spacing when equations/symbols appear in text
- Convert all figures to tiff (or jpeg) if software used to generate figures is not readily available
