The first time you login, do the
following!
- Type ssh
[username]@rachel.psc.edu to login
- After
logging in, type kpasswd. You will be prompted for your old
password. Then enter your new
password.
- The
first time you log in, you might have a really ghetto shell (it won’t even
have the tab complete feature!). Type chsh.
You will see something like the following:
Old
shell: /usr/psc/shells/csh
New shell:
Type /usr/psc/shells/tcsh/ to use the standard
shell that we use for SuSe Linux.
- Log
out and re-login with your new password.
Now your shell should be a little more user-friendly.
